The 500x250 cm panel prepared for the NATO building in Brussels features symbols important for the Turkish culture such as Sultanahmet mosque, cisterns, the Maiden's Tower, Piri Reis’ map, Ottoman sailing vessels, Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial, Ephesus and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's portrait. The selected figures emphasize NATO serving as a roof under which people meet for peace. The tile panel made of 23.5x23.5 square tiles was entirely hand-made by a team of 30 people in 45 days at the Foundation's workshops in İznik.
The panel was inaugurated by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and NATO Permanent Representative Basat Öztürk.
