The tower shares the same design with the tiles in Horhor Fountain in Üsküdar, Istanbul. On the top of the tower, there is a plate with the writing “La Colonia Otomana a Mexico-Septiembre de 1910” (From the Ottoman Society to Mexico - September 1910).

The clock tower, named "Ottoman Clock” and located in Mexico’s historic downtown, at the corner of Venustiano Carranza and Bolivar streets was decorated with İznik tiles.
